My role involved everything from initial concept sketches to the final illustration, ensuring the design aligned with Pipa & Limón’s updated brand identity while resonating with their target audience—modern, stylish mothers.
About the client
Pipa & Limón is a high-quality, handcrafted baby accessories brand with a strong heritage in traditional textile craftsmanship. Based in Madrid, the brand creates unique, carefully made products for modern mothers.
Their focus on quality, trust, and customer care is reflected in every aspect of the brand, from product design to packaging.
The challenge
As part of their rebranding by Paseo Studio, Pipa & Limón needed an illustration that connected emotionally with their audience.
The challenge was working within a predefined color palette while using complementary tones. Through numerous color explorations and print tests, I achieved a balance that respected the branding while making the illustration stand out.
The process
I started by reviewing the brand’s style guide and conducting a benchmark to align the style with Pipa & Limón’s values. After creating initial sketches, I focused on color exploration, testing combinations that felt fresh yet stayed true to the brand. Using Procreate, I refined the textures, strokes, and organic lines in the final illustration.
The solution
The final artwork depicts a mother pushing a stroller, embodying the brand’s key values of care, trust, and craftsmanship. The organic lines and soft, textured strokes give the piece a sense of warmth, while the curated color palette ensures consistency with the brand.
The illustration not only enhances the unboxing experience but also serves as a decorative print that customers can reuse, creating a lasting connection with the brand.
Conclusion
The creation of a new online store and rebranding were key factors in the 100% increase in revenue and 63% growth in monthly orders.
My illustration complemented these efforts, adding a personal, memorable touch to the brand’s refreshed identity, enhancing the unboxing experience and strengthening the emotional connection with Pipa & Limón’s audience.
